Erkan Sozeri: We Fell Behind but Never Gave Up!
In the 10th week of Trendyol 1. Lig, Sanliurfaspor’s head coach Erkan Sozeri commented on the 3-3 draw against Alagoz Holding Igdir FK, saying, “We fell behind today, but we never gave up, and we never let go of the game.”
Speaking at the press conference held after the match at 11 Nisan Stadium, Sozeri noted that everyone enjoyed the effort displayed by the teams. He congratulated both teams for their performances and added:
“As things didn’t go well, we switched from a three-man to a four-man formation as we fell behind. We had plans for such a situation, and we already work on these with the players during the week in training. My players showed everyone what it means to be a team. We fell behind today, but we never gave up, and we never let go of the game. We wanted to win today, but we ended up with a draw. However, coming back from 3-1 down to equalize was a fantastic reaction. This draw feels like a victory for us. The management and the fans are proud of us. I wholeheartedly congratulate all my players who played and came in later; every one of them fought with their hearts. Whatever I say in a positive sense for them is not enough. I sincerely thank each one of them.”
