Abdullah Avci in Negotiations! Requests More Time from the Club

After leaving Trabzonspor, Abdullah Avcı has not joined any other club, but his next destination seems to be taking shape. The experienced coach is reportedly in negotiations with a new team and has requested more time to make his decision.

Most recently, Avcı, who coached Trabzonspor, is in talks with the Azerbaijani club Neftçi Baku. It was previously reported that Azerbaijani officials traveled to Istanbul to meet with Avcı regarding the coaching position.

Avcı Requests More Time

In the latest development, Avcı, after meeting with Neftçi Baku, has asked for some time to consider his options. According to ESH Spor, the experienced coach also has offers from Saudi Arabian clubs.

Led Trabzonspor to Success

During his time at Trabzonspor, Avcı led the team to the Süper Lig championship in the 2021-2022 season and also won two Turkish Super Cup titles. However, after some disappointing results and an early exit from European competitions, he parted ways with Trabzonspor in August 2024.
