The Arbitration Board has reduced the 504,000 TL fine imposed on Fenerbahçe President Ali Koç to 168,000 TL following the controversial Göztepe-Fenerbahçe match in the 2nd week of the Trendyol Süper Lig. Koç was attacked by Göztepe official Fatih Özkan during the match. Additionally, the fine for Fenerbahçe General Secretary Burak Kızılhan was also reduced from 336,000 TL to 168,000 TL.
The Arbitration Board provided the following statement regarding the reduction:
“Fenerbahçe President Yıldırım Ali Koç’s fine of 504,000 TL, imposed due to his unauthorized presence in the accredited area during the match, which led to the interruption of the game, has been reduced to 168,000 TL in accordance with Article 13 of the FDT. The penalty for Fenerbahçe General Secretary Burak Çağlan Kızılhan was similarly reduced.”
Göztepe’s punishment was also previously reduced. The 2-match ban for fan-related incidents during the Göztepe-Fenerbahçe match was decreased to 1 match by the Arbitration Board.
Incidents During the Göztepe-Fenerbahçe Match
During the match, Ali Koç was hit by a foreign object and shoved by Göztepe official Fatih Özkan, resulting in him falling. This incident led to a brief interruption in the match.
Fatih Özkan Placed Under House Arrest
Fatih Özkan defended himself, stating that he did not intend to harm Koç. Despite this, Özkan was sentenced to house arrest.

Following the incident, Özkan apologized to both Ali Koç and the Fenerbahçe community through a statement on social media.
