Iniesta Clears the Air on Links Allegations to Real Madrid

Following his recent football retirement, Barcelona great Andres Iniesta has angrily refuted allegations that he ever supported Real Madrid. Responding to allegations made by Spanish journalist Tomas Roncero, Iniesta, who called time on his remarkable, trophy-filled career this week, said that talks over a pre-contract had taken place and that Iniesta could have joined Real Madrid in 2006.

Regarding Iniesta Said

Speaking with AS, Iniesta denied the claims: “Things have been claimed that are not true, like that I signed pre-contracts with Real Madrid. Let him move forward from it.“

Directly asked whether he had ever supported Real Madrid, Iniesta said: “No, definitely not.”
