During his first training session at Carrington, Ruben Amorim experimented with new tactical changes, demonstrating how quickly he has put his ideas into action at Manchester United. One of the most notable adjustments is Antony’s unexpected new position. The £82 million acquisition was tested as a wing-back. Marcus Rashford, a striker, has been assigned to lead the line in the meantime.
Amorim’s Initial Thoughts
Amorim worked with a smaller group since a number of first-team players were away on international duty, but he took advantage of the chance to share his views. Younger players Leny Yoro and Kobbie Mainoo, who are both recovering from injuries, were present together with important players Rashford and Luke Shaw. Amorim brought in Godwill Kukonki, a 6’5″, 16-year-old academy prodigy, to practice with the senior squad, which increased the excitement.
