Arsenal to Extend Mikel Arteta’s Contract Until 2027
Arsenal, one of the Premier League’s strongest title contenders this season, is set to continue its journey with manager Mikel Arteta. According to The Athletic, the North London club is preparing to extend Arteta’s contract until 2027.
Arteta, who took over from Unai Emery in 2019, has now started his fourth full season in charge. Before joining Arsenal, he was part of Pep Guardiola’s coaching staff at Manchester City.
In his first season, Arteta guided Arsenal to an 8th-place finish after joining midway through the 2019/20 campaign. The team finished 8th again the following season before showing improvement with a 5th-place finish in 2021/22. In the last two seasons, Arsenal finished runners-up behind Manchester City.
Under Arteta’s leadership, Arsenal has won the FA Cup and two Community Shield titles, and the club hopes to build on this success as they aim for Premier League glory.
