ASTON MARTIN: “NOT PAYING ATTENTION TO MCLAREN’S APPROACH WOULD BE FOOLISH”

According to Aston Martin, McLaren’s adherence to a specific base design could be a strategy worth considering for other teams as well.

Aston Martin believes that the approach McLaren has taken in its update program this season may be one of the key factors behind its success in Formula 1. Team principal Mike Krack stated that McLaren has achieved performance improvements with small changes, saying, “We are closely monitoring this situation.”

“If you compare where McLaren has taken a step and what changes they have made, you can see some correlations. Therefore, ignoring this approach would be foolish.”

“We were at the same level as Mercedes at the beginning of the season, and they have won races. If you balance the car according to what the drivers want, it’s possible to make significant strides with these regulations.”
