Ballon d’Or 2024 Award: Who Are the New Favorites?
The Ballon d’Or 2024 award will be presented later this year by France Football. With the dominant era of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo now in the past, a new face is expected to be awarded.
Real Madrid has a high chance of having the winning player on their roster. Vinicius Junior and Jude Bellingham are seen as favorites, but Toni Kroos and Dani Carvajal are also serious contenders.
‘I Think Vinicius Should Win’
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti managed all four players last season and chose his winner in an interview with The Obi One Podcast (via Relevo):
“I think Vinicius should win. He did a great job last season. Dani Carvajal also did fantastic things. He won La Liga, the Champions League, scored in the final, and won the European Championship.
But Vinicius is young, talented, and can improve. He won the league, the Champions League, scored in the final and semi-final, and scored 2 goals in Munich. Jude also had a great season and was the best player in the league.”
Few would object to Vinicius winning the award. He has been one of the best players in the world for a few seasons now, and Real Madrid hopes he will win many Ballon d’Or awards during his time at the club.
