German Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich have been hit with a shock as Sacha Boey suffers an injury setback.
Under new coach Vincent Kompany, Bayern Munich has made an explosive start to the 2024-25 season.
The German side defeated Wolfsburg 3-2 away in their opening match, followed by a 2-0 home win against Freiburg, bringing their point tally to six.
In their third match, Bayern crushed Holstein Kiel 6-1 to claim the top spot in the Bundesliga standings.
Bad news for Sacha Boey However, after the Holstein Kiel match, Bayern Munich received bad news. The club announced that Sacha Boey has been diagnosed with a torn meniscus in his left knee, ruling him out for several weeks.
Boey, who started in both the first and third-week matches, has been sidelined by injury once again after facing similar setbacks last season.
What’s next for Bayern Munich? Bayern Munich will face Werder Bremen in their fourth Bundesliga match on September 21.
Before that, they will host Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Champions League on September 17.
