Bryant Dunston explains how Zalgiris can learn from Virtus’ last season story

After a strong start to the EuroLeague season, Zalgiris is navigating a three-game losing streak, with veteran Bryant Dunston drawing on his experience from Virtus Bologna to guide the young team through this challenging period.Probably no one expected to see Zalgiris Kaunas sitting at the top of the EuroLeague standings after seven rounds with a nearly perfect 6-1 record. But what started as a dream run has hit a rough patch, as the Lithuanian team now finds itself in a three-game losing streak after falling to Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul at home in Round 10.

Zalgiris is one of the youngest teams in the EuroLeague, but they do have the second most experienced player in the entire competition in 38-year-old center Bryant Dunston, who’s been stepping up to help guide the team through tough times alongside the coaching staff.

“Just let the guys know that this happens during the season, and every team experiences ups and downs,” Dunston told BasketNews when asked how he’s been encouraging his younger teammates, many of whom are EuroLeague rookies or under 28.
