After Bukayo Saka walked off against Greece at Wembley, Arsenal has been under injury alert. Shortly after England went 1-0 down, the winger was taken off the field under medical team treatment; Noni Madueke replaced him.
Arsenal’s outstanding early-season performance has been much enhanced by Saka, who has two goals and an amazing seven assists. He has just failed to offer a goal contribution in one game thus far this season, a 4-2 victory over Leicester. Arsenal now must wait anxiously to find out the degree of his injury.
Having not missed a competitive match since October 2023, when a thigh injury held him absent from a European Championship qualifier against Italy, the 22-year-old has also been a vital player for England.
