WHAT HAPPENED? In the sixth week of the Premier League, Chelsea hosted Brighton and secured a 4-2 win, scoring all four goals in the first half. Brighton responded with goals from Georginio Rutter and Carlos Baleba. Cole Palmer stole the spotlight with his incredible performance.

BIG PICTURE: Scoring all four of Chelsea’s goals in the first half, Cole Palmer became the first player in Premier League history to net four goals in the first half of a match. Palmer’s tally in the league rose to 6 goals this season following his stellar performance against Brighton.

DID YOU KNOW? Ferdi Kadıoğlu, who joined Brighton from Fenerbahçe during the summer transfer window, made his first appearance in the starting lineup. Kadıoğlu had previously debuted for his new team in a Premier League match against Ipswich Town and scored his first goal during the League Cup match against Wolverhampton.

Chelsea secured their third consecutive win in the league, reaching 13 points. Brighton, experiencing their first loss of the season, remain at 9 points.
