Al-Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s Saudi Pro League club, is apparently confident of getting Kevin De Bruyne from Manchester City and has offered him a whopping £1 million per week. According to TEAMtalk, Al-Nassr is willing to go to extreme measures to get the Belgian midfielder to the Middle East, including following Ronaldo’s advise.
De Bruyne’s current weekly wage at Manchester City is £400,000, and if he accepts the deal, it will more than treble. However, despite the financial temptation, De Bruyne’s readiness to leave European sport remains questionable, since he has already expressed reservations about heading to Saudi Arabia.
De Bruyne’s contract with City expires in the summer of 2025, and while the club has yet to offer him an extension, worries about his reoccurring injuries and age have raised questions about his long-term future at the Etihad. After missing significant playing time the previous two seasons due to injuries, including a recent hamstring ailment that has already sidelined him this season, City management is apparently focused on younger players as they build for the future.
