Dani Ceballos Fuels Real Madrid Exit Rumors with Visit to Real Betis Game
After watching Real Betis play Celta Vigo at the Benito Villamarin Stadium on Sunday, Dani Ceballos might have given away that he was leaving Real Madrid. The midfielder, who hasn’t played much under Carlo Ancelotti this season, was spotted cheering for his old team from the VIP box, which raised rumors that he would rejoin Betis.
With just six appearances in all competitions and 108 minutes played so far this season, Ceballos has struggled to find opportunities at Madrid. His only start occurred against Betis, and he has missed eight games thus far due to injuries that have further limited his availability. In October, he made a brief comeback, playing 27 minutes against AC Milan in the Champions League, but he was unable to stop a 3-1 loss.
Performance from the Previous Season
Ceballos made an impression last season, playing in 46 games across all competitions and dishing out nine assists in fewer than 2000 minutes, despite his current struggles. He received a contract extension through 2027 as a result of his outstanding accomplishments, but his lack of playing time this season has sparked persistent speculation regarding his future.
