Paulinho Quits Football
Former Barcelona midfielder Paulinho announced that he quit football at the age of 36. The Brazilian announced the news on his social media account with a heartfelt post titled ‘Thank you football’.
Paulinho started his career at Brazilian side GO Audax and played for a number of clubs including Vilnius, Coimbra and Corinthians. He made a significant impact after joining English Premier League side Tottenham in the 2013/14 season and subsequently played for Barcelona, Guangzhou Evergrande and Al-Ahli.
Paulinho made his last professional appearance for Corinthians, ending a remarkable career in which he played 609 games, scoring 155 goals and providing 56 assists.
