Turkish Football Federation (TFF) President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu met with UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin in Switzerland. According to a statement from TFF, the meeting took place at UEFA’s headquarters in Nyon and was attended by TFF Deputy President, Executive Committee Member, National Teams, FIFA and UEFA Relations Board Member Ceyhun Kazancı, TFF Secretary General Abdullah Ayaz, TFF Foreign Relations and National Teams Administrative Director Buğra Cem İmamoğulları, UEFA Member Federations Director Zoran Lakovic, and former TFF Secretary General and UEFA Strategic Advisor Kadir Kardaş.
During the meeting, the parties evaluated the preparations for the 2032 UEFA European Football Championship (EURO 2032), which will be co-hosted by Turkey and Italy, the 2026 UEFA Europa League Final to be held in Turkey, and the 2027 UEFA Conference League Final. They also exchanged ideas on projects to be implemented in line with the cooperation between TFF and UEFA.
The parties have scheduled another meeting next week in Cannes, France.
Following the meeting, TFF President Hacıosmanoğlu presented Aleksander Ceferin, Zoran Lakovic, and Kadir Kardaş with Turkish national team jerseys bearing their names. In return, Ceferin gave Hacıosmanoğlu a pennant prepared to commemorate the visit.
