Hamilton: “When I Saw the Chaos, I Realized It Was Verstappen”

Max Verstappen received two 10-second penalties after his battle with Lando Norris on the 10th lap of the race at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.

At the end of the 71 laps, Norris finished the race in second place, while Verstappen came in sixth. The point gap between the two in the championship decreased to 47 points.

After the race, Lewis Hamilton expressed that he was ‘not surprised at all’ by Verstappen playing a role in such a battle.

Seven-time world champion Hamilton said, “Actually, I didn’t see the incident between them. All I saw was a group of cars in front of me and a cloud of dust.” He then added with a smile, “At that point, I definitely realized Verstappen was there.”
