Hannah Hampton Withdraws from Chelsea Starting 11

Hannah Hampton, the star of the Lionesses, was compelled to leave her place in Chelsea’s starting lineup prior of their Champions League group stage match against Real Madrid on Tuesday. Zecira Musovic replaced Hampton, who was supposed to start for the Blues in goal, shortly before the game began.

Chelsea was already in a difficult situation because several of their most important players were not available for the game. Long-term absentees Sam Kerr, Mia Fishel, and Sophie Ingle were joined by Niamh Charles, who continued to be sidelined by a shoulder issue. The fact that Erin Cuthbert and Catarina Macario were absent from the team, along with Kadeisha Buchanan’s suspension, only made matters worse for the team. There are rumors that the players suffered from a stomach ailment in the days before the match.

Musovic Ascends

Musovic was named Chelsea’s starting goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge following Hampton’s late withdrawal. As Emma Hayes’ team started their European season against a formidable Real Madrid team, the unanticipated alteration increased the strain on them.

Chelsea will be hoping that its sick and wounded players heal quickly as they face the difficulties of playing in both domestic and European games.
