Harvey Barnes’ Stunning Strike Secures Newcastle Win Over Wolves

Newcastle Super Sub Harvey Barnes’ Blistering Strike Sinks Wolves

Amid rumors of internal tensions between manager Eddie Howe and sporting director Paul Mitchell, Newcastle continues to thrive on the pitch. The Magpies have won three and drawn one of their opening four games, placing them third in the Premier League on goal difference behind Arsenal.

Though Newcastle’s performance was far from perfect, Howe made a bold move with a triple substitution at half-time, which paid off as Harvey Barnes, one of the substitutes, scored a spectacular winner. With just 10 minutes remaining, Barnes cut in from the left, bypassed Nélson Semedo, and unleashed a 25-yard strike into the far post, securing a 2-1 victory over Wolves.

“Winning is everything,” Howe stated after the game. He added, pointedly: “The best way to do that is to be unified – that means the players, the supporters, and the coaching staff, and I’ll do everything to keep that unity.”

The result moves Newcastle into third place, while Wolves remain without a league victory this season.
