Galatasaray’s young star Ege Arac is under global scrutiny

The excitement of the 9th week in Trendyol Super Lig will start on Saturday. As teams begin their preparations following the end of the international break, one of England’s respected newspapers, The Guardian, published a list that also closely concerns Galatasaray.

As the international break ends, teams are continuing their preparations at full speed. During this break, a notable piece of news concerning Trendyol Super Lig’s leader, Galatasaray, made headlines.

The Guardian, one of the leading newspapers in England, compiled a list of the ‘most talented players born in 2007-2008.’ Among those on the list was Galatasaray’s young footballer, Ege Arac.

The Guardian dedicated a significant section to the 17-year-old defensive midfielder, stating, “Ege was raised through Galatasaray’s academy and is currently the captain of Turkey’s Under-18 Team. The central midfielder has a technical right foot and is aggressive in defense but plays with the maturity of a much more experienced player when in possession. His idol is Rodri, but his playing style resembles that of Lucas Torreira. Ege is a hard-working player with impressive technique and a good range of passing. He is also forward-thinking; he has hired a coach to help him physically develop – an area he needs to improve to reach the next level – and is learning English. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him promoted to Galatasaray’s senior team at some point this season.”

This season, Arac has played 6 matches in the U-19 Super Lig, clocking 474 minutes in total, without contributing a goal or assist.
