Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo found himself in the middle of an unexpected argument.A well-known fan of mixed martial arts, Ronaldo shows frequent interest in the world of martial arts and recently announced his support for the transition of former UFC champion Francis Ngannou to the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
The Portuguese superstar shared his thoughts on Topuria’s rise in the UFC, expressing doubts about the fighter’s last win against Alexander Volkanovski and suggested that Volkanovski was “not ready” for the fight due to an ongoing injury. Ronaldo told Ngannou and his coach Eric Nicksick that Topia had to prove himself against higher rivals and supported Max Holloway’s defeat of Toporia at the UFC 308 main event.
“[Topuria] talks too much… I think when he beat Volk [Alexander Volkanovski], Volk wasn’t ready because of that kick… [Topuria] didn’t fight the best men,” he told Ngannou. “If he beats Max, I respect him,” he added.
In the octagon, Topuria gave an exciting performance against Holloway and showed that her self-confidence was supported by skill and strategy.
