Kylian Mbappé’s Account Hacked: A Trader Loses $1 Million!

A trader who didn’t realize that the Real Madrid player’s account had been hacked lost more than $1 million in just one hour.

The incident highlights the risks associated with cryptocurrencies linked to celebrities. An unknown trader invested 7,156 SOL (equivalent to $1.03 million) in a token promoted from Kylian Mbappé’s X account. However, things didn’t go as planned.

An on-chain analysis platform, Lookonchain, reported:
“Someone created a new wallet and spent 7,156 SOL (approximately $1.03 million) in a single transaction to purchase a memecoin called MBAPPE, which is now worth only $9,200. This person lost over $1 million in just one hour!”

The loss underscores the ongoing threat of hackers targeting celebrities’ social media accounts. Earlier in August, a memecoin themed around President Trump, TrumpCoin (DJT), experienced a 95% drop.

Shortly after the hack of Mbappé’s X account, the trader purchased the fraudulent cryptocurrency and endorsed it with a post. The scam token’s post was later removed from X, and several leading cryptocurrency companies have since issued warnings about the fraudulent token.
