Lamine Yamal highlighted the “key” tactical difference between Barcelona’s current manager Hansi Flick and former coach Xavi after his stellar performance in the 4-1 victory over Girona. Barcelona made it five consecutive wins in La Liga, with Yamal scoring twice and Dani Olmo and Pedri adding to the tally.

“Coming back from the national team is always difficult, but today we were very good. We’re already thinking about the next match. The key has been to be direct. When we recover, we only think about scoring,” Yamal explained.

Yamal also elaborated on the tactical differences between Flick and Xavi, explaining how the German coach’s approach has transformed the team. Yamal, who rose to prominence under Xavi last season, has already made 50 appearances, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists in all competitions.
