Leclerc’s brother could take the wheel of Ferrari in Abu Dhabi

It looked like Antonio Fuoco would take to the track in the first practice session with Ferrari in Abu Dhabi, but Arthur Leclerc was put forward for the seat.
Three days ago, everything seemed to indicate that Antonio Fuoco would be the one to join Ferrari in Abu Dhabi training, but now there are doubts about whether this will happen.

Thanks to his second place in the WEC, Fuoco had enough points to qualify for a Formula 1 super licence and looked set to take to the track in the first session of the season-final race.

After testing at Fiorano last week, Fuoco removed the only obstacle standing between him and the super licence.

Along with Charles’ brother Arthur Leclerc and Davide Rigon, Fuoco is the most used simulator driver and his driving with the car could be beneficial to the simulator.

However, sources say Fuoco has not been officially selected for the seat.

Oliver Bearman will not be in the car in any case, as he has dropped out of rookie status after three races this year.

Robert Shwartzman also appears to have withdrawn from racing as he focuses on his IndyCar adventure with Prema.

Arthur Leclerc, on the other hand, is on Ferrari’s roster. The Monegasque driver has learned a lot as a development driver and having the Leclerc brothers on track at the same time could be interesting from a marketing perspective.

Arthur Leclerc, 24, raced in formula one series until 2023 and then moved on to endurance racing.

This year he won the Italian GT Endurance championship and was fastest at the WEC rookie test in Bahrain.
