Leeds Boss Daniel Farke Backs Brenden Aaronson’s “Excellent” Start

Farke Praises USMNT Star’s Improvement as Leeds Push for Premier League Promotion

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke has lauded Brenden Aaronson’s strong start to the Championship season, highlighting the USMNT midfielder’s impact as the team battles for promotion. After a challenging spell at Leeds and a loan stint with Union Berlin last year, Aaronson returned to Elland Road with a point to prove, starting in 11 of Leeds’ 13 games and notching five goal contributions.

What Farke Said

Farke expressed satisfaction with Aaronson’s performance, calling it “excellent” and noting the midfielder’s drive to improve.

“He’s been excellent so far this season. He wasn’t happy with last season at Leeds. It was difficult for him, and he wanted to prove his worth.”

Farke praised Aaronson’s versatility, adding:

“I like his work rate, his ability to press, to make runs with the ball, set up players, and score. He’s still young and there’s room to grow, but he’s been a fantastic asset for us this season.”

Aaronson’s resurgence at Leeds has been key in their promotion push, as he aims to further develop under Farke’s guidance.
