After Charlotte took the lead with a goal from Karol Swiderski in the 57th minute, Messi equalized in the 67th minute.
According to a report from TN, Messi lost his temper post-match and insulted the referee directly. He reportedly pointed his finger at Touchan and shouted, “You are a real pain in the neck,” followed by some profanity. Despite this incident, Inter Miami remains at the top of the MLS standings with 65 points, eight points ahead of their closest rival.
