According to reports, Manchester United has set their sights on Ruben Amorim of Sporting CP as their permanent replacement after Erik ten Hag was fired on Monday. Following a 2-1 loss to West Ham, which left United in a dismal 14th place in the Premier League, Ten Hag was fired.
Amorim is a well-liked young manager who is allegedly “open” to moving to Old Trafford, which makes him a desirable choice for United. Although Ten Hag’s assistant, Ruud van Nistelrooy, will serve as temporary manager, the team is eager to appoint a permanent manager in order to salvage their season.

Competition for the Signature of Amorim
Liverpool, who eventually recruited Arne Slot, had previously explored Amorim as a contender. With the recent signing of former Sporting CP director Hugo Viana, Manchester City is reportedly considering Amorim as a possible replacement to Pep Guardiola.
In the hopes that a new manager can turn around the team’s season and rebuild trust at Old Trafford, United supporters anxiously await the team’s next move.
