Nantes Owner Dismisses Reports of Trent Alexander-Arnold’s Buy Claim

Nantes owner and president Waldemar Kita has shut down reports claiming that Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold is planning to purchase the Ligue 1 club. Earlier this week, L’Equipe reported that Alexander-Arnold, through a fund co-owned with his father, Michael, was considering a €100 million (£84 million) bid to acquire the French side. The proposal allegedly included €80 million (£67 million) paid upfront and €20 million (£17 million) in seller credit, with potential bonuses of up to €40 million (£34 million).

However, Kita firmly denied these claims in an interview with Presse Ocean, stating, “This is all bullsh*t! Where does that come from? How do you expect a serious man who wants to purchase a club to use a journalist? Trent Alexander-Arnold? But I don’t even know him! He told me his father was involved in finance and that they have players as well as agents. I’ve never done any video conference with anyone, ever. It’s nonsense. How can you even in this business, with such sums?”

Sources close to Alexander-Arnold have also dismissed the rumors, suggesting the entire story is likely baseless. Despite the buzz created by the media, it appears that the alleged takeover of Nantes by the Liverpool defender is nothing more than speculation.
