Nicola Zalewski, who plays for the Serie A team Roma, revealed that he received a good offer from Galatasaray. After discussing with his family, he decided to stay with the Italian club.
In an interview with TVP Spor, Zalewski talked about the transfer period and his return to the Roma squad. He expressed happiness about rejoining the team, stating, “We all know what the situation is at Roma. I played in the last match, I’m back in the team, and I’m happy because I just want to play football and have fun. My manager will discuss other matters with the club.”
The young player admitted that the transfer to Galatasaray was very close, saying, “I won’t lie, the transfer was very close. I received a good offer, but I thought about it for a while. I talked with my family, and I believe I made the best decision for myself.”
Zalewski, who graduated from Roma’s youth academy, joined the first team during José Mourinho’s tenure in 2021. His contract is set to expire this summer. The 22-year-old has played four matches for Roma this season, and throughout his career, he has scored 25 goals and provided 25 assists in 183 appearances.
