Paul Pogba and Juventus Near Contract Termination

Paul Pogba and Juventus are allegedly in discussions to mutually terminate his contract, as the French midfielder seeks a new beginning following the lowering of his doping penalty.

According to the Daily Mail, Pogba is discussing the end of his contract with Juventus. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) recently reduced his four-year doping penalty to 18 months, allowing him to return competing in March 2025. However, Pogba’s stint at Juventus is set to end sooner as he intends to leave the club before his current contract expires in June 2026.

Aiming for a comeback

Once his departure from Juventus is confirmed, Pogba will look for a new club to reignite his career. The 31-year-old has not appeared in a competitive match since September 2023, when he came in as a substitute against Empoli. According to Fabrizio Romano, Pogba is searching for a “fresh start” away from Juventus, and sees this as the greatest option to rebuild himself in top-level football.
