Following his absence from the French national team owing to an injury, Kylian Mbappe has started individual training at Real Madrid. Aiming for full fitness, the forward has been working on his recuperation.
After French manager Didier Deschamps had to refute allegations that Real Madrid swayed the choice to exclude Mbappe from the France team, questions were raised over his absence. Further fueling the debate was the 24-year-old’s appearance at a Swedish nightclub coincident with France’s game against Israel in the UEFA Euro qualifiers.
Real Madrid’s Injury Update
In an official statement, Real Madrid confirmed that Mbappe is continuing his rehabilitation:
“Kylian Mbappé continues to work on his individual fitness plan. The forward is working on his own as he tries to recover fully from the discomfort in the biceps femoris of his left leg. This afternoon, he trained on his own in the gym and out on the pitch at Real Madrid City, under the guidance of Antonio Pintus, who is in charge of the club’s physical preparation.”
