Amorim’s Tribute

Reflecting on the game, Amorim expressed his gratitude:

“I would have preferred not to suffer in this game but the way it ended… it was much more than I could have expected. From a week that could have been so difficult, and it was, but I’m so much more rested now, because of these players. They’re unbelievable.”

He continued:

“The truth is that we didn’t start well in the first half, we were slow, doing what other teams do to us, which is to waste time. In two transitions, we conceded goals that we could have avoided. But the second half was unbelievable and this feeling made everything more special. Today this adventure comes to an end, and I couldn’t have asked for a better moment.”
