The Goal for Alanyaspor is to Stay in the Super Lig

Corendon Alanyaspor’s head coach Fatih Tekke stated that their primary goal is to remain in the Trendyol Super Lig. He noted that overall, Alanyaspor is in good shape, but currently, their only issue is the risk of injuries and suspensions until the mid-season break. He expressed concern that serious difficulties could arise, especially if injuries occur in certain positions.

Before the training at the Cengiz Aydogan Facilities, Tekke mentioned that they are continuing their preparations for the Kasımpasa match during the league break due to international matches. He highlighted that they are working very well with the players, noting that they currently have four national team players and six young players unavailable, resulting in a total of 14-15 players. He stated that for those remaining, it has been an intense and productive period, with player morale being quite good. While they do have injuries, some players are returning, and overall, the situation looks promising.

Tekke pointed out the importance of the next three matches leading up to the Bay week, stating, “This is why the next three weeks are very important for us. Our first match will be against a good team, Kasımpasa. It will be a tough match, as we have not had easy matches so far, and we will not have one now. Kasımpasa is a well-organized team that is accustomed to playing together, and they are particularly effective in counter-attacks. It will be a challenging match, but we are preparing with our plans and organization. Everything is currently going as we want.”

Evaluating the first eight matches played in the league, Tekke emphasized that the draws against Goztepe and especially Eyupspor were among the best performances they delivered. He pointed out that they are trying to utilize every player in Alanyaspor’s squad, stating, “Our squad is set, our numbers are clear, and the players’ conditions are known. So far, we are performing above expectations. In this eight-match period, we lost to teams like Galatasaray, Fenerbahce, and Basaksehir, but we had opportunities to earn points against two of those teams. Overall, Alanyaspor’s situation is quite good. Currently, our only issue is the risk of injuries and suspensions until the mid-season break. If injuries occur in certain positions, we could face serious problems. However, for now, the team is playing with confidence and is organized.”

Tekke noted that Alanyaspor’s playing style hasn’t received much discussion, but they are a team that has caught attention and received praise from those who care. He stated that they are working on how to further develop their game. Tekke conveyed that the most important goal they have set in the league is to stay in the Super Lig. Regarding the health status of their South Korean player Hwang, Tekke mentioned, “Our player Hwang will join us tomorrow. He seems to have recovered from his injury, but we will see if he is at match fitness. We may be able to use him, or we may not. However, he will most likely not be in the initial part of the game.”
