In the 3rd week of the UEFA Europa League, black-and-white fans have been banned from attending the match where Besiktas will face Lyon.
Besiktas fans have been prohibited from attending the UEFA Europa League match against Lyon, which will be played away on October 24.
According to a report by the French media outlet RMC Sport, black-and-white fans will not be present at the match at Groupama Stadium. The match between Lyon and Besiktas has been classified as very high risk by the National Hooliganism Combat Unit in France, and a decree has been issued by the Rhône prefecture.
The decree states that Besiktas fans are prohibited from being in Lyon city center, train stations, airports, and around the stadium on match day.
7 YEARS AGO INCIDENT-FILLED MATCH
Before the Lyon-Besiktas match in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa League during the 2016-2017 season, incidents broke out among the fans, causing the match to start with a 45-minute delay. UEFA announced that both teams would be banned from European competitions for one year if similar incidents occurred again within two years.
