Fresh Bundles to Help R6 Teams

For Rainbow Six Siege, Ubisoft has unveiled ten new pro team bundles providing fans with an innovative approach to back their preferred teams. Part of the R6 Share Program, these bundles feature an operator background card and a weapon skin so players may flaunt their team pride in design.

Dedicated to a spectrum of R6 esports teams, the recently published bundles are Dplus Kia, Falcons, Fluxo, Furia, M80, Scarz, Soniqs, Vivokeyd, W7m, and Wylde. These special products are available in the in-game store, and every purchase helps the teams by means of revenue-sharing.

R6 Share: Their Mechanism

Ubisoft’s revenue-sharing scheme, R6 Share divides earnings from bundle purchases across related esports teams. The sold bundles provide 50% of the income for the linked companies, so providing a direct means for supporters of their teams to help financially.

Released right before the BLAST R9 Major Montreal 2024, scheduled for November 7–17, Twenty of the top R6 rosters will square off in the tournament for a $750,000 (~£560,000) prize pool. Teams still fight for qualification using the Last Chance Qualifier and regional leagues.

Ubisoft’s ongoing R6 Esports Investing

Ubisoft added bundles for teams such Wolves Esports, MIBR, and MNM Gaming last year, effectively extending the R6 Share Program. The game developer keeps investing in the competitive scene this year; recently, it teamed with data platform GRID to open a data portal for R6 esports companies, giving teams free access to critical game statistics.

The scene is still flourishing; the R6 Invitational 2024 in February records as the most watched event in Rainbow Six history. Further indication of development and excitement in the R6 esports ecosystem comes from Ubisoft and BLAST announcing France as the venue for the 2025 edition.
