Who Would Win Between Floyd Mayweather and Terence Crawford?

Earlier this month, Terence Crawford further solidified his impressive legacy by securing a points victory over Israil Madrimov. This win made him a four-weight world champion, and rumors suggest that after his upcoming fight with Edgar Berlanga on September 14 (to be broadcast live on DAZN), he could move up to a higher weight class to face Mexican legend Canelo Alvarez.

With his dominance across multiple weight divisions, Crawford is seen as a near-certainty for the Boxing Hall of Fame at the end of his career. This has sparked discussions comparing him to greats who came before him, including Floyd Mayweather.

When asked who would win if a fight between him and Mayweather were to happen, Crawford confidently backed himself. During an episode of the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast, when asked who would win in a 2023 bout between the two, the Nebraska native responded, “Me. Man, me. I’m always going to say myself.”

Crawford’s confidence speaks to his belief in his skill set, but a matchup between two such elite fighters would have certainly been an epic showdown for boxing fans.
