ESIC and MOONTON Games Partner to Enhance Integrity in Mobile Esports

The Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC) has entered a partnership with Mobile Legends: Bang Bang publisher MOONTON Games to promote fairness and ethical standards in mobile esports. The collaboration aims to establish guidelines and initiatives that will safeguard the competitive integrity of the rapidly growing mobile gaming sector.

The partnership, marked by a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), will encompass several key initiatives. Both parties will share information, conduct educational campaigns, develop policies, manage risks, and identify emerging threats within the mobile esports ecosystem. As part of the agreement, MOONTON Games will also become a member of ESIC’s Publisher Committee, contributing to shaping policy and best practices for integrity in the industry.

Addressing Unique Challenges in Mobile Esports

Given the specific challenges of mobile esports, the collaboration between ESIC and MOONTON Games aims to proactively identify risks and collaboratively develop solutions. The goal is to create policies that uphold fair play and provide a safe and transparent environment for players, teams, and fans. As mobile esports continues to grow, these measures will help maintain the legitimacy and professionalism of the sector.

ESIC’s Broader Efforts to Establish Esports Integrity

This partnership aligns with ESIC’s ongoing mission to enhance integrity across all esports formats. It follows a recent agreement with the ESL FACEIT Group, which became the presenting partner of the ESIC Global Esports Summit Atlanta 2024. ESIC has also formed an advisory board in collaboration with executives from major esports organizations such as ESL and BLAST.

MOONTON Games’ Commitment to a Fair and Transparent Ecosystem

MOONTON Games has been actively involved in shaping the future of esports beyond this partnership with ESIC. The company previously signed an MoU with the Saudi Esports Federation to grow the industry in Saudi Arabia and partnered with Qiddiya to expand the reach of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang in the region.

Lucas Mao, Managing Director of Global Esports at MOONTON Games, commented on the partnership, saying: “Professionalism and integrity have always been cornerstones of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang competitive esports. By working together with ESIC, we are setting a new standard for fairness in esports and reaffirming our commitment to building a transparent and ethical gaming environment where excellence and integrity go hand in hand.”
