Bayer Leverkusen has set a price for Florian Wirtz, the young talent sought after by European giants. The club is demanding €150 million for his transfer.
Last season’s Bundesliga champions, Bayer Leverkusen, may lose their star player, Florian Wirtz, at the end of the season. The young midfielder is on the radar of several top clubs across Europe, prompting Leverkusen to establish a hefty transfer fee.
RECORD DEMAND
According to a report by Bild, Bayer Leverkusen is asking for €150 million for the 21-year-old midfielder. If Leverkusen sells Wirtz for this fee, it would break the club’s previous record, which was set when Kai Havertz was transferred to Chelsea for €80 million.
CLUBS INTERESTED IN WIRTZ
Florian Wirtz has caught the attention of four clubs eager to add him to their roster. Among those interested are Bundesliga’s Bayern Munich, Premier League’s Manchester City and Arsenal, as well as La Liga’s Real Madrid. Reports indicate that Barcelona has withdrawn from the race due to financial issues.
FLORIAN WIRTZ’S CAREER
Wirtz began his football career in the youth ranks of Brauweiler before moving to Köln. He joined Leverkusen in 2020 and made his debut in the 2020/21 season. Throughout his career, he has made 189 appearances, scoring 61 goals and providing 57 assists.
