The Fenerbahce Beko Men’s Basketball Team has signed Skylar Mays (1997, 1.93) until the end of the 2024-25 season. Mays has played for the Atlanta Hawks, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Lakers over the past four seasons in the NBA.
Who is Skylar Mays?
Skylar Mays was born on September 5, 1997, in Louisiana. He played college basketball for Louisiana State University. Between 2016-2020, Mays performed successfully for the LSU Tigers, especially standing out during the 2019-2020 season with averages of 16.7 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.
Drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the second round as the 50th pick in the 2020 draft, Mays gained NBA experience with the Hawks from 2020-2022 while also competing in the G-League with the College Park Skyhawks.
During the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, Mays played for the Portland Trail Blazers and Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA, while competing in the G-League with the Delaware Blue Coats, Mexico City Capitanes, and South Bay Lakers.
At the beginning of the 2024-25 season, Mays was part of the roster of NBA team Minnesota Timberwolves.
