Fenerbahce rose to the top of the Euroleague

Fenerbahce Beko rose to the top of the THY Europa League, Europe’s “number 1” organization in basketball clubs, at the end of the 10th week of matches.

In the regular season, which was played in league format, 18 teams played their 9th week matches on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and their 10th week matches on Thursdays and Fridays.

Fenerbahce Beko and Anadolu Efes, representing Turkey in the Europa League, passed the double match week without a loss.

Fenerbahce Beko defeated German team Bayern Munich 87-76 in the 9th week of the league, thanks to 25 points scored by American forward Nigel Hayes-Davis in the last two periods.

In the 10th week, the yellow-dark blue team defeated the Lithuanian representative Zalgris, one of the league’s flashy teams, 72-65 away.

Fenerbahce Beko won its 4th away match this season and achieved its 5th consecutive victory in the organization.

Fenerbahce Beko, which achieved a total of 8 wins, rose to the top at the end of the 10th week matches.

Anadolu Efes won both of its matches in Spain

Anadolu Efes, who started the week away against Spanish representative Baskonia, won the game that was competitive until the last moment, 89-84.

In the second match of the week, Anadolu Efes hosted Real Madrid and won 74-64, achieving its 6th victory of the season.

Having won two matches in a row, the navy blue-whites finished the 10th week in 8th place.

Barcelona loses lead

Barcelona, which started the season well under Spanish coach Joan Penarroya Rodriguez, beat Serbian coach Zeljko Obradovic’s team Partizan 87-79 away in the first match of the double-match week.

In their second match, the Spanish representative lost to the league’s new team, French Paris Basketball, 103-87 at home.

Barcelona lost the leadership to Fenerbahce Beko as a result of the heavy defeat they suffered at home and dropped to 5th place with goal difference after only 7 wins at the end of the 10th week matches.

The Greek team Panathinaikos AKTOR, coached by Turkish head coach Ergin Ataman, hosted the Israeli representative Maccabi Playtika in the 9th week.

Entering the locker room trailing by 10 points (37-47) and entering the last quarter trailing by 3 points (60-63), Panathinaikos AKTOR managed to beat its opponent 93-87.

In the 10th week, last champion Panathinaikos AKTOR beat Italian representative Virtus Segafredo Bologna 82-77 away and rose to 2nd place in the league with 7 wins.

MVPs Petrusev with Maledon and Tj Shorts

The most valuable player (MVP) of the 9th week in the Turkish Airlines Europa League was Filip Petrusev from Red Star, while the MVP of the 10th week was shared by Theo Maledon from LDLC ASVEL and Tj Shorts from Paris Basketball.

In the match where Red Star beat French representative Monaco 98-90 on the road, Serbian center Filip Petrusev reached 38 efficiency rating with 25 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and managed to become the MVP of the 9th week.

In the 10th week of the organization, in the match where LDLC ASVEL beat Red Star 77-74 at home, French point guard Theo Maledon received 36 efficiency rating with 26 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 1 steal.

In the same week, in the match where Paris Basketball defeated Barcelona 103-87 on the road, American point guard Tj Shorts achieved the same efficiency rating with 24 points, 9 assists, 1 rebound and 3 steals.

Match of the week: Red Star-Partizan

The Serbia derby will be played in the 11th week of the THY Europa League. Red Star, managed by Ioannis Sfairopoulos, will host Partizan, managed by Zeljko Obradovic.
