In the UEFA Nations League C Group 1, Azerbaijan suffered a 3-1 defeat to Slovakia, marking Fernando Santos’ fourth consecutive loss as the head coach of the Azerbaijani national team.

Slovakia’s goals came in the 15th minute from an own goal by Mammadov, followed by strikes from Haraslin in the 75th minute and Duris in the 86th. Azerbaijan’s lone goal was scored by Bayramov in the 38th minute.

With this result, Slovakia moved up to 10 points, while Azerbaijan remains without a point.
