A National Women’s Basketball Team…

Ekrem Memnun, the head coach of the A National Women’s Basketball Team, who defeated Romania with a difference of 47 points in the 3rd match of FIBA 2025 European Championship Qualifiers Group F, said that they achieved everything they wanted in the match.

Speaking to the members of the press after the match played at the Basketball Development Center, Memnun said, “I am very happy that we won. I am very happy with the atmosphere of the team, our energy. I thank the actor friends from the bottom of my heart. So these window matches are not easy. The league is being played. They all have clubs matches, fatigue, roles are different. We need to come here and be a new team in three days. I am very satisfied with the situation so far and my wishes,” he said.
“We made our difference. This was the first national match in our new house. We were destined to play this. I think we got the result that will deserve this today. This was important to us. I would like to thank all our audience in our new home in this first national match today. We believe in our team, we trust, we love our players very much, we believe in all of them. We have big dreams. Hopefully we will continue. We will play a very important match against Slovakia on Sunday. Now we have finished this match. Slovakia is a very different away game. They also have claims. They also want to participate. We will play a very difficult match. We want to prepare in the best way and come back with the win with the result we want.”

Emphasizing that the players are very satisfied with their request, the experienced coach concluded his words as follows:

“Now the opponent’s situation is clear. I don’t want to say much, but I am really pleased with the desire of the players, the desire to play in the national team, their concentration and dedication. This was our most important topic for today. We watched the opponent, we know him. We know we are a better team. But always with a request, we wanted to show a game worthy of our first national match today. We wanted to show the audience who came and supported us that they did not come here in vain. We wanted to remind the value of our team, the value of the players. In that way, I reached everything I wanted from my point of view. Thank you very much to the players.”
