Only one Turkish team made it into the top 20 of Europe’s best football clubs, according to a ranking based on data from the past year.

WHAT HAPPENED?
The International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) updated the ranking of Europe’s top clubs, based on data from September 1, 2023, to August 31, 2024.
Real Madrid leads the list with 403 points, followed by Manchester City with 368 points. Bayer Leverkusen ranks third with 353 points, and Atalanta is fourth with 318 points.
Fenerbahçe, with 214 points, is the only Turkish club in the top 20, securing the 17th position.
According to the IFFHS, the best teams in Europe over the past year are as follows:
