Renowned Formula 1 designer Adrian Newey is to leave his role as chief technical officer at Red Bull. In 2025, he is preparing to join Aston Martin. Newey, who has led the design of 13 championship-winning cars since joining Red Bull in 2006, will start working with Aston Martin after completing his contract with Red Bull.

Following the breakdown of his relationship with Red Bull team principal Christian Horner, Newey decided to step down. However, Newey has agreed to stay with the team until early 2025 to complete work on their first hypercar, the RB17.
