Arina Fedorovtseva Confirms 2.5-Year Deal with Fenerbahçe

Fenerbahçe and Arina Fedorovtseva had parted ways for half a season as the talented player moved to China. Recently, rumors suggested that Fedorovtseva would rejoin Fenerbahçe on a 2.5-year contract. She addressed these rumors and delivered good news to Fenerbahçe fans by confirming her agreement.

“Fenerbahçe is a Special Club,” Says Arina Fedorovtseva

In an interview with Volley News, the Russian star confirmed that she has signed a contract with Fenerbahçe until 2027. She expressed her feelings by saying, “Fenerbahçe is a very special club. I can confidently say this after playing there for three seasons. Talented, ambitious, and strong… That’s how I would describe our team. I am extremely happy to be a part of it and to work with my teammates to achieve the goals we have set for ourselves.”

Fedorovtseva, who has been the top ace server in three tournaments every year for the past four years, spoke about being the best server in Turkey over the last three seasons: “I enjoy serving and am very happy to have found a personal style. Achieving such a result required a lot of effort and practice; therefore, I am particularly proud of my success in this area.”

Why Did Arina Fedorovtseva Go to China?

The Russian volleyball player, who will play in China for half a season, explained her decision: “My choice stems from interest and curiosity. I have always found the idea of playing in the Chinese league fascinating. Everything from the culture to the league organization is a bit different for European players.”

“This makes stepping out of your comfort zone and taking on new challenges even more encouraging. I chose Shanghai because it is a very ambitious club aiming to win the championship. The beautiful city also attracted me.”

When asked about the Champions League semi-final against Vero Volley Milano, “Is there anything you could have done better?” she responded, “Of course! The way our journey ended in the Champions League last year saddened and disappointed us greatly. That’s why it remains one of our main goals.”

When asked about working with two great coaches at Fenerbahçe, Zoran Terzic and Stefano Lavarini, and if she had a preference, Fedorovtseva concluded: “I think they are both great coaches but completely different from each other. They have different strengths, and I have learned a lot from both. I’m happy to have worked with them, but I don’t think it’s fair to compare them.”
