Atletico Madrid Fails to Hold Lead at Home

In the third week of the UEFA Champions League, Atletico Madrid hosted Lille but couldn’t maintain their advantage, falling 3-1 to the French side.

Atletico Madrid took an early lead in the 8th minute with a goal from Álvarez. However, Lille mounted a strong comeback in the second half, with goals from Edon Zhegrova in the 61st minute, followed by two strikes from Jonathan David in the 74th and 89th minutes.

With this result, Lille climbs to 6 points, while Atletico Madrid remains at 3 points in the group standings.

In the next round of the Champions League, Atletico Madrid will travel to face PSG, while Lille will host Juventus.
