VakıfBank, a team from Turkey’s Sultanlar League, provided an update on the injuries of Zehra Güneş, Cansu Özbay, and Ali Frantti. According to VakıfBank, Zehra Güneş will be out for three weeks due to meniscus and cartilage damage in her left knee, while Cansu Özbay will be sidelined for four weeks due to plantar fasciitis in her right foot. “Our athlete Zehra Güneş has been diagnosed with a meniscus and cartilage injury in her left knee. After medical examinations, treatment began, and her condition has been monitored by our medical team for three weeks. After the latest check-up, positive progress was observed in her recovery. As of September 3rd, she has started light training with the team. It is expected that she will fully join team training in approximately three weeks and return to the field in the second week of October.”

Cansu Özbay
“Our athlete Cansu Özbay has been diagnosed with plantar fasciitis in her right foot. After medical examinations, treatment has started, and a recovery period of approximately four weeks is expected. It is anticipated that Cansu Özbay will begin light training with the team next week, and her return to the field will be re-evaluated after her treatment period.”

Ali Frantti
“Our athlete Ali Frantti has experienced a recurrence of a previous back injury. An injection treatment was administered by our medical team, and after three days of rest, she started light training with the team on September 3rd. It is expected that Ali Frantti will fully join team training within one week.”
