In the 2nd week of the Süper Lig, Beşiktaş faced off against Antalyaspor.
VAN BRONCKHORST MAKES ONE CHANGE
Giovanni van Bronckhorst made only one change to the starting lineup compared to their last match. The black-and-white team started the match at Tüpraş Stadium with the following lineup: Mert Günok, Jonas Svensson, Gabriel Paulista, Omar Colley, Emirhan Topçu, Moatasem Al-Musrati, Gedson Fernandes, Milot Rashica, Rafa Silva, Semih Kılıçsoy, and Ciro Immobile.
Beşiktaş’s bench included Ersin Destanoğlu, Onur Bulut, Salih Uçan, Ernest Muçi, Arthur Masuaku, Jean Onana, Cher Ndour, Can Keleş, and Mustafa Erhan Hekimoğlu. Van Bronckhorst assigned Emirhan Topçu to the left-back position instead of Masuaku, who missed the last few training sessions due to family reasons.
IMOBILE MAKES HIS MARK
Beşiktaş’s new signing, Ciro Immobile, scored his first goals in the league against Antalyaspor. The star striker found the back of the net in the 13th minute, marking his first league goal. Immobile struck again in the 23rd minute, giving his team the lead.
The experienced player has now scored 4 goals in 3 matches for Beşiktaş. The Italian striker also scored twice in the 5-0 victory against Galatasaray in the Süper Kupa match.
IMMOBILE’S PERFECT START
According to Opta’s statistics, Ciro Immobile’s first four shots on target in official matches for Beşiktaş have all resulted in goals.
