Ed Sheeran Celebrates Ipswich Town Stake with Tractor Ride and Classic Tune

Singer Ed Sheeran has officially taken a minority stake in his boyhood club, Ipswich Town. To mark the occasion, Sheeran posted a video on Instagram, riding a tractor and singing along to Thin Lizzy’s “The Boys Are Back in Town.” Alongside the video, Sheeran wrote, “It’s any football fan’s dream to be an owner in the club they support.” Born in West Yorkshire and raised in Framlingham, Suffolk, Sheeran has been a lifelong Ipswich Town supporter. His total stake in the newly promoted Premier League club stands at 1.4%.

Sheeran has been involved with Ipswich Town for years, having sponsored the club’s shirts since 2021.
