Ettore Messina: “There Are Three Major Candidates for the Final Four in EuroLeague”

Olimpia Milano’s experienced head coach, Ettore Messina, gave an interview to Corriere della Sera where he shared his thoughts on the team’s offseason rebuild and the upcoming EuroLeague season.

Speaking first about his team’s restructuring, Messina said:
“We have a budget similar to last year. Right now, we have two star players: Shields and Mirotic. Following closely behind is Nebo. Apart from these names, our other players have great contracts. Of course, everyone is focused on Bolmaro and Dimitrijevic. They are both young players who need to prove themselves, but so far, they have done a great job.”

Messina then discussed the new EuroLeague season, identifying three major contenders for the Final Four:
“Panathinaikos, Olympiacos, and Real Madrid are the most serious candidates for the Final Four. The investments they’ve made are completely justified. Everyone else will be fighting to shape the playoff picture.”
